Mobile number should be activated with UAN on Employees Provident Fund Organization portal and KYC should be one of UAN bank account number, AADHAAR or PAN number. Thereafter, the member registered on the UAN portal can get his/her balance by giving a missed call.

To know the balance (PF Balance), give a missed call from your registered mobile number to 011-22901406! This call will be automatically disconnected after two bells ring. No money will be taken for this! After some time after giving missed call, EPFO will send SMS on your mobile, which will contain information related to the balance of your PF account.

You can also check PF account balance through mobile SMS. For this, your UAN number must be registered with the Employees Provident Fund Organization. You have to write EPFOHO UAN from your registered mobile number and SMS to 7738299899. You have to choose the language in which you want to know the balance related information. For example, for Hindi, you have to message by writing EPFOHO UAN HIN! On doing this, EPFO will send you SMS in Hindi.

How to change mobile number linked to EPFO

If you also want to change the mobile number associated with the Employees Provident Fund Organization, then you can easily do this work sitting at home! It is necessary to link the mobile number with EPFO (EPFO) because all the SMS from the EPF account are sent to the same number! So as soon as you change your mobile number, the number linked to the EPF account should also be updated.

1. EPF Member Portal https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ and login!

2. Click on Contact details in the Manage section.

3. Click on the Check Mobile Number option. A new section will open!

4. Enter new mobile number twice!

5. Now click on ‘Get Authorization Pin’. An OTP will come on your new number.

6. nter the OTP in the space provided and click on the submit button.

7. Your new number has been updated in the EPF Portal.
