Socially and educationally backward classes, economically backward classes, minorities and nomads – free castes have to go through economic hardships due to their poverty. So now the Chief Minister of Gujarat announced the Manav Garima Yojana. Free sewing machines will be provided to all the women of Gujarat under Manav Garima Yojana. Manav Garima Yojana by Gujarat Government runs under sje.gujarat.gov.in 2022. In this scheme, the Gujarat government gives an opportunity to the Scheduled Tribe people to start a new business.
Eligibility Criteria for Silai Machine Yojana
Eligibility for availing benefit of free sewing machine scheme is determined by Cottage and Village, Gujarat State. Which is stated below.
- Age of women applying under this scheme should be between 16 years to 60 years.
- Applicant’s family income should be upto Rs.1,20,000/- for rural area and up to Rs.1,50,000/- for urban area.Taluka Mamlatdar or Municipal Chief Officer or authorized officer of Municipal Corporation in metropolitan area has to submit income proof. .
- Only economically weaker women of the country will be eligible under this scheme.
- Widows and disabled women can also join and benefit from this scheme.
