Introduction of Chariot Transport Service
Sarathi Seva Portal has been launched by the Central Government to coordinate the work related to transport departments of all the states. Apart from this, online teji se solution of department-related tasks, like – making new licenses online, renewal, simplifying the process of rc transfer etc.
Many services are provided online through Sarathi Seva Portal. Due to the efforts of the Union Transport Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari, this portal has been made possible at such a fast pace. Other services may be introduced through the portal in the future.
Purpose of Chariot Transport Service
Some of the objectives of Sarathi Transport Seva Yojana are: –
- All the RTO offices in the country will be connected through an online portal.
- After connecting all RTOs online, driving license will also be made online.
- When the driving license will be made online through this scheme of the central government, it will save both people’s time and money.
- Driving license can be done online through this portal at home.
Documents required for online driving license
If you make online driving license with the help of Sarathi portal, then you must have the following documents given below.
Residence Certificate :– Applicants who apply for online driving license have to submit one of their residence certificate such as original residence or ration card etc. along with it.
Aadhaar Card :– Apart from this, it is also necessary for the applicant to have his own Aadhaar card. Your mobile number should be linked in Aadhaar card.
Identity Card :– The applicant also needs to scan and upload his/her identity proof when he/she is applying for a driving license online.
Age Certificate :– Applicant’s age and documents related to it are also necessary like school mark sheet or any other government document which has birth certificate.
Birth Certificate :– Apart from this, it is also necessary to have a certificate of the applicant’s own birth.
Passport size photo and signature :– Most important in driving license is passport size photo and signature of the applicant.
Eligibility to make online driving license
An applicant must have these qualifications to generate driving license online. Before applying online must check once :–
- The age of the applicant is at least 18 years.
- Applicants who are between 16 to 18 years of age can apply for non geared vehicle.
- Applicant must be mentally strong.
- Apart from this, the applicant should know how to drive.
How many types of driving license are made?
Whether you make driving license online or offline. In both these types, driving license is mainly made of two types. These are of two types:
License for personal use vehicle
It includes all types of licenses which are mainly made by us like licenses made for two wheelers and licenses made for four wheelers etc. Some of these types of licenses come in all of these –
