Registration on Udyam Portal is for two types of people first For New Entrepreneurs who are not Registered yet as MSME and second For those already having registration as EM-II or UAM.

Purpose of Udyog Aadhaar Registration

MSME is divided into 3 parts
1- Micro Enterprise

2- Small Enterprise (Small)
An enterprise in which the investment in plant and machinery or equipment is Rs.10 crore or less and turnover is Rs.50 crore or less.
3- Medium Enterprises
Enterprises in which investment in plant and machinery or equipment is Rs.50 crore or less and turnover is Rs.250 crore or less.
Benefits of Udyog Aadhaar Registration
1. After registering on this portal, financial assistance will be provided by the government such as excise duty, government financial assistance for participation in foreign trade, concession in electricity bills, etc.
2. Citizens of the country who want to do their business can register on this portal.
3. You do not need to upload any documents to register on this portal.
4. Under direct tax laws, exemption will be provided.
5. Exemption from applying for government tenders.
6. Patent and trademark fees will come down.
7. The benefits of the government scheme which will include loan without guarantee, low interest rate on loan and easy loan.
New rules for Udyog Aadhaar registration
1. From July 1, 2020, there will be no need to upload documents and certificates for enterprise registration.
2. To register, you only need to upload the Aadhaar number and self-declaration.
3. The details of the enterprise entered by you can be verified against the PAN number or GSTIN details.
4. After July 1, it will be known as MSME Udyam. Because this word is more close to Udyam and the registration process will be known as Udyam Registration.
5. All the entrepreneurs can do their registration process through online medium through the official portal. The official portal will be activated before 1st July. All those enterprises which have registered under EM-Part-II or UAM will have to register again on the Udyam Registration Portal on or after 1st July 2020.
6. All the enterprises which had registered before June 30, 2020, their registration will be valid till March 31, 2021.

Udyog Aadhaar Registration Process
- To register yourself, you have to visit the MSME official website of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
- On this home page, you have to click on the link of For New Entrepreneurs who are not Registered yet as MSME or those with EM-II below Registration here.
- After clicking, the next page will open in front of you. On this page you need to scroll down the page and enter the Aadhaar number along with the name of the entrepreneur.
- After reading the information tick the checkbox and click on “Validate & Generate OTP” option.
- OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, enter OTP in the blank and click on Validate option.
- Now you need to enter the rest of the information asked on the screen such as your category, gender and other related details
- Submit the application form after reviewing all the entered information
- Take a print out of your online registration application for further use

- First of all you have to visit the official website of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
- Now the home page will open in front of you.
- On the home page, you have to click on the login tab.
- After this the following options will open in front of you.

- After this a new page will open in front of you in which you have to enter your mobile number, user-id, enterprise registration number etc.
- Now you have to click on the submit option.

Udyog Aadhaar Registration Update Process
- First of all you have to visit the official website of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
- Now the home page will open in front of you.
- On the home page, you have to click on the tab of Update Details.
- Now you have to click on the link for Update Udyam Registration.
- After this, a new page will open in front of you, from which you have to enter the information asked.
- Now you will get an OTP which you have to enter in the OTP box.
- After this you have to click on the link of Validate and Generate OTP.
- Now your enterprise registration form will open in front of you.
- You can update any information in it.
