There are total 12 bullet stations out of which 8 stations are in Gujarat. The track is 92 percent above ground. The track in the tunnel is 26 km. There is a 7 km tunnel in the sea in Thane Bay. The cost of the bullet train is likely to double,,, out of the total estimated cost of 1.08 lakh crores of the project, 30 thousand crores have been spent so far. The total cost of the project when completed is likely to touch Rs 2 lakh crore.
